Cátia Mazari Oliveira was born in Setúbal on September 29, 1983. She grew up in the Bairro 2 de Abril, a social neighborhood in the city, which she left at age 25. For two years she learned to play piano, which she eventually exchanged for the viola under the influence of a friend. She holds a degree in Communication and Culture from the Faculty of Letters in Lisbon and continued her training in journalism at CENJOR. She worked for four years at Popular FM, alongside José Manuel Rosendo, managing the station's Cultural Agenda.
